Credit Balance
We are unable to make payments to a supplier’s account where there is an outstanding credit balance. This means that the credit notes on the system are larger than the invoices that are validated for payment. Once the approved invoice amount exceeds the credit amount, the excess will be paid to you.
If you are not sure what credit amounts we hold on your account please contact us via our contact form and we will get back to you within 5 working days.
- If you do not have a credit balance on your ledgers
It may be that we have not received invoices that you have allocated against your credit notes. In this instance please email a statement of account via our contact form and we can complete a reconciliation for you to identify any missing documents. We can then arrange for these to be processed against the balance. - If the invoice amount exceeds the credit balance but the invoices are not approved
Once the invoices are approved by the department, the status will change to validated and reduce the credit balance. Once the approved/validated invoices are due for payment then the balance will be paid.
